Indications

Antipyrone is a potent central analgesic, antipyretic and antirheumatic agent with marked sedative and spasmolytic properties on animals.

It is indicated in the following cases:

-   Catarrhal-spasmatic colic, meteorism and intestinal constipation in horses.

-   Spasms of the uterine cervix during birth.

-   Pains of urinary and biliary origin.

-   Neuralgia and neuritis.

-   Acute gastric dilation, accompanied by severe colic attacks.

-   For allaying the irritability of the animals and preparing them for stomach lavage in horses.

-   Esophageal obstruction, joint and muscular rheumatism.

-   For preparation of surgical and obstetrical interventions.

Dosage And Administration

Administered by Intramuscular or Intravenous injection.

-  Horses:  20 – 50 mg/ Kg bodyweight (2 – 4.5 ml / 45 Kg bodyweight).

-  Cattle: 20 – 40 mg / Kg bodyweight (2 – 3.5 ml / 45 Kg bodyweight).

-  Dogs:  1 ml / 10 Kg bodyweight.

Contraindications

-  Concurrent administration of Barbiturate, Chlorpromazine or Phyneylbutazone.
